Abstract. With the rapid development of AI technology, especially the launch of ChatGPT, a conversational AI tool, has quickly attracted wide attention from various seed industries, bringing great opportunities and challenges to the education field. Digital transformation of education has become imperative. This article analyzes the impact of ChatGPT application in elementary education and discusses the opportunities and challenges that ChatGPT brings to the elementary education and teaching. Finally, suggestions and strategies were proposed to help teachers better use ChatGPT and promote their professional development.
